Mind Over Mountains: Rory Warnock Takes on the UTA100

At Proper Goods, we’re proud to represent District Vision across Australia and New Zealand—a brand rooted in the philosophy that true performance is achieved when the mind and body are in balance. This belief couldn’t be better embodied than by our brand ambassador Rory Warnock, who recently took on one of the most demanding endurance races in the Southern Hemisphere: the Ultra-Trail Australia 100km (UTA100).

The UTA100: A Test of Pure Grit

Held in the breathtaking and brutal terrain of the Blue Mountains, the UTA100 is a bucket-list event for ultra runners around the world. It spans 100 kilometres of rugged singletrack, steep staircases, technical climbs, and punishing descents—with over 4,500 metres of vertical elevation.

But this isn’t just a race. It’s a full-spectrum challenge—physical, mental, and emotional. The course is unpredictable. Runners must battle fatigue, navigate treacherous terrain, and adapt to rapidly changing weather conditions that can turn from sun to fog and rain within hours.

Completing the UTA100 is no small feat. It demands meticulous preparation, months of training, and above all—a resilient mindset.

Rory Warnock: A Mindset Built for the Trail

Rory Warnock is more than an athlete. As a mindset coach and endurance runner, he approaches every race as an internal journey as much as an external one. In tackling the UTA100, Rory didn’t just push his physical boundaries—he exemplified the District Vision philosophy of presence, mindfulness, and mental clarity under pressure.

From the pre-dawn start to the final kilometres in the dark, Rory stayed grounded, focused, and intentional—demonstrating exactly what it means to perform with purpose.

Proper Goods x District Vision: Purposeful Gear for Purpose-Driven Athletes

Athletes like Rory embody the core of District Vision—where mindfulness and movement come together to fuel purposeful performance.

District Vision is not just performance eyewear or apparel—it’s a toolkit for athletes seeking clarity, calm, and connection in their practice. Whether on the trails, in meditation, or navigating everyday life, District Vision supports athletes who see endurance as a mental game as much as a physical one.

We’re honoured to support Rory on his journey and share his story with our community across Australia and New Zealand. His performance at the UTA100 is not just a win for ultra-running—it’s a celebration of intentional living and conscious performance.
