Introduction

Garrett Leight, Founder of Garrett Leight California Optical (GLCO) was quite literally born into the world of fashion eyewear. The son of Larry Leight, Founder and Creative Director of the luxury eyewear brand Oliver Peoples, Garrett was immersed in the craft of optics from an early age.

 

During his time working alongside his father, Garrett observed first hand the development and craftsmanship of iconic designs and brand-building techniques. In 2009, he opened his first eyewear concept store, A. Kinney Court, in Venice Beach California, offering a curated assortment of hand-selected​ goods from his hometown. The first store of its kind combined the knowledge and service of licensed opticians to provide functional and stylish eyewear to the people of Venice Beach.
